Saving & Closing Animation
Saving Animation
You can save a Animation to a file at any time. In general, as you build a Animation, you may want to save it early and then periodically save it again as your Animation grows more complex.
To save a new Animation (or with a new file name)
- On the File menu, click Save (or Save As).
- In the Save dialog box, select a folder and type a file name for the Animation.
For Animation file names, 2D&3D Animator uses the file extension .2DA, and the program will automatically assign that extension for you.
You can save your Animation in any folder on your local disk. However, to ready the Animation for use in the internet, you must export it to a web related file (see: Exporting Animation to an Image).
To save an Animation (with the same file name)
- On the File menu, click Save. (Shortcut Keys: CTRL+S)
Closing Animation
To close an Animation
- On the File menu, click Close. (Shortcut Keys: CTRL+W). If nothing in the Animation has been changed, it will close immediately. If anything has been edited, a Save prompt appears.
- On the Save prompt, click Yes, No, or Cancel. If you select Cancel, the animation will not be closed. You can also cancel the process by pressing ESC when this prompt appears.
