Animating Layers
The program creates animation by changing the position, size, and visibility of layers. For each layer, you can add unlimited number of Linear motions and Fixed positions. During the playback the program performs the motion sequence for each layer.
Linear Motion

- The layer moves straight from the Starting Position to the Ending Position.
- Motion PathStarting PositionEnding Position
To add a linear motion to a layer
- In the animation window, click the layer.
- Move the layer to where it should be when the motion begins.
- Click Motion | Add Linear Motion from the Insert menu.
- Click the keyframe marker at the end of the layer's motion.
- Move the layer to where it should be at the end of the motion. A line appears showing the path of the motion in the Document window.
Customizing Linear Motion
For Linear motion, you can change the following parameters:
- Starting Position and Ending Position - the layer moves from starting to ending position during playback.
- Starting Scale and Ending Scale - the layer resizes during playback.
- Starting Angle and Ending Angle - the layer rotates during playback.
Fixed Position
The layer stays at a fixed position for a number of frames.
To add Fixed Position to a layer
- In the Document window, click the layer.
- Click Motion | Add Fixed Position from the Insert menu.
- Move the layer to where it should be.
Customizing Fixed Position
For a Fixed position, you can change the following parameters:
- The position coordinates.
Hide or show layer at this position. Click the Visibility control to make the layer invisible.
- Starting Scale and Ending Scale - the layer resizes during playback.
- Starting Angle and Ending Angle - the layer rotates during playback.
Using Timeline
- To make a linear motion play longer, drag the keyframe marker at the end of the layer's motion to the right.
- To make the layer reach the ending position earlier or later, move the keyframe marker at the end of the layer's motion left or right in the bar.
- To shift the location of an entire linear motion, select the motion path in the Document window and then drag the path on the window. The program adjusts the starting and ending positions.
- To change the visibility of a layer, use the Visibility control
in the Timeline panel.
