Saving Comparisons

Automating Comparisons

SQL Server Comparison Tool offers possibility of saving ("recording") comparison sessions so that they can be re-played later with one click without need of re-entering all the parameters.

You can also run saved comparison processes from command line parameter.

Saving Comparisons

To save the comparison process:

click button Save present on all screens displaying results of given comparison process

enter name of comparison process so you can identify it later

Save Comparision Process

please note that SCT automatically creates comparison Id when saving the process for first time. This Id is needed when running saved processes through command line parameter.

To re-play comparison process:

click menu item File -> Run Saved Comparison Process (or press keys Ctrl + F5)

select from the list the process which you want to be run

Run Saved Comparision Process

click button "Run"

Click Run
