SOLUTIONS

OPERATING SYSTEMS

Windows 2000
Windows XP
Windows 2003

SYMPTOMS

I receive an error when saving a package to the Package Server.

The Directory Failed to be Created.

advanced windows password recovery hard disk restore data recovery service
hard disk recovery software data undelete windows recovery
memory card photo recovery unerase files cell phone forensic investigation

RESOLUTION

This error generally occurs because the user adding the package to the Package Server does not have the proper rights to access and write to the share specified on the Package Server. When adding a package to the Package Server, the files specified in the package are copied from their source location to the Package Server using the rights of the user logged into the system running the console. The shares permissions for the individual running the console will have to be adjusted on the Package Server if you wish to allow the user to add packages to the Package Server through the console.
