SYMPTOMS

I receive an error stating I do not have sufficient privileges when installing a service.
Error 1923. Service Inventory Manager Scheduler
(SchedService) could not be installed.
Verify that you have sufficient privileges to install system services.
This error results in the selected service(s) not being installed on the system.

RESOLUTION

This error is usually the result of the specified user not having sufficient privileges to run a service account, resulting in an improper installation. A user account must be specified with sufficient privileges to run and install services.

Note: If your system resides in a domain, please specify a fully qualified domain account for your services to run as. Also, if the installation process was completed with this issue, the services will need to be removed and reinstalled through the .msi.
