Framework (Console) (all solutions)

Based on the WMI industry standard, the console provides application infrastructure for the suite of network management solutions from INSYSTEK, Incorporated. Each of the modules plug into the Framework (or console) to provide immediate and accurate asset information in your Windows environment, tuned to your specifications. The Framework provides a single common user interface for the administrator made possible by the INSYSTEK Object Broker (IOB). The IOB marshals communication between each of the installed modules passing events such as drag-and-drop between modules. INSYSTEK's approach to Asset Management, Software Distribution, and Performance Monitoring is non-invasive. This enables inventorying, distributions, and monitoring functions to easily traverse corporate firewalls, VPNs, and WAN connections without the use of an agent or client on the remote system.

Asset Management (all solutions)

Asset Management provides enterprise class hardware and software inventory management. Asset Management scans for and collects hardware and software configuration information from Managed Assets in the enterprise environment. Asset Management is a powerful tool for support technicians and asset management personal, which can dramatically reduce the costs of asset management efforts. The Asset Management module includes the ability to retrieve software and hardware data including monitor and system serial numbers.

Software Distribution (Control Center and NSMC)

Software Distribution focuses on deploying application software on an enterprise scale for Windows servers, desktops, and laptops. By rapidly and efficiently deploying desktop application software to multiple locations from a central management console, the INSYSTEK solution decreases a company's total cost of IT ownership. INSYSTEK Software Distribution provides enterprise class distribution architecture for flexible deployment of Windows applications. INSYSTEK Software Distribution provides methods to deploy and maintain Windows software using "push" and "pull" delivery options, including scheduling, and web-based installs.

Performance and Availability Monitoring (NSMC)

The Monitor Service provides the power behind the monitoring module, specifically designed with the flexibility to grow with your needs. The Monitoring Service runs with a distributed architecture which allows you to install the service on multiple systems running from a central database. The service automatically begins to load balance with the other monitoring server in the environment and provides immediate coverage if one of your monitoring servers should ever fail. With five separate thresholds, from harmless to fatal, and three notification options (E-mail, Alpha Numeric paging and audible voice notification) the monitoring module will keep you informed about the status of applications and hardware in your environemnt.

Data Repository (MSDE or SQL Server)

INSYSTEK solutions use an ODBC Compliant SQL Database repository. The comprehensive database schema can be used to create reports with the Report Wizard or custom reports based on the data stored in the NSMC tables.
