Requirements
Framework Console
The framework console is supported on the following configurations:
Software:
Microsoft Windows 2000 (all versions) with SP4
Microsoft Windows XP
Microsoft Windows 2003 Server
Hardware:
Hardware that meets the Operating System requirements, and a recommended additional 32MB of memory and 50MB of free disk space dependant on desired performance.
Service(s)
The service(s) are supported on the following configurations:
Software:
Microsoft Windows 2000 with SP4
Microsoft Windows XP
Microsoft Windows 2003 Server
Hardware:
Hardware that meets the Operating System requirements and a recommended additional 64MB of memory and 10MB of free disk space dependant on desired performance. It is also recommended to use a NIC teaming hardware to increase performance.
SQL (MSDE) Server
SQL (MSDE) Server is supported on the following configurations:
Software:
Refer to Microsoft SQL or MSDE requirements.
Hardware:
Refer to Microsoft SQL or MSDE requirements.
To calculate the estimated free disk space needed for environment information, roughly allow for 1MB of data per managed device.
Package Server (Control Center and NSMC)
Network share for the staging of the MSI based software databases, with permissions. Estimated size is determined by the size of the applications to be deployed. Basic requirements used by the console required.
Distribution Server (Control Center and NSMC)
Server running both HTTP and FTP services. Estimated size is determined by the size of the application to be deployed. Basic requirements used by the console required.
Managed Devices
INSYSTEK solutions support Windows desktops, laptops, and servers running WMI. These systems can be any Operating System that supports WMI and the Windows Installer Service, including but not limited too:
- Windows 95 - WMI and configuration required
- Windows 98 - WMI and configuration required
- Windows NT 4 (All) - WMI required
- Windows ME - Configuration requird
- Windows 2000 (All) - No requirements
- Windows XP (Professional)- No requirements
- Windows 2003 - Enable WMI Windows Installer Provider required for software distribution
