Asset Management Groups.

New Group

The New Group menu item allows for the addition of user-defined Asset Management Groups. The addition of these groups allows for the arrangement of Managed Assets to better represent an environment. Examples of user-defined groups may include: Geographic, Subnet, Business, or Logical Purpose.

To add a new group, right-click a current group or profile and select New Group from the menu. Provide a name for the new group when the prompt appears.

Remove a Group

With the Remove menu item, the above prompt is displayed, asking for either a Yes or No response. Choosing yes will remove the selected group in the Managed Devices list and all of the respective systems, devices and related information located within that group, will be deleted. Choosing No will only remove the selected group from the Managed Devices list for the profile requesting the removal.

Rename a Group

With the Rename menu item, the name of a selected group can be changed.

Move a Group

With the Move menu item, the selected group in the Managed Devices list, can be moved beneath or out of another group.

Open a Group

With the Open menu item, the group and its sub-groups, systems and devices can be viewed with the Group Viewer.
