Connecting to RTQ Server

This assistant helps you connecting to a RealTimeQuery Server.

You can access this assistant at any time from the program's Menu -> Help -> Assistants -> Connecting to an RTQ server.

Screens of this assistant are described step by step below:

Step 1 :

Connecting to an RTQ server assistant
This screen starts the 'Connecting to an RTQ server' assistant.

Step 2 :

Server location
Select the location of the RealTimeQuery server you wish to connect to.
Select LAN if the server is in this same local area network.
Select WAN if the server is outside this local area network.

Step 3 :

Connecting mode
You can connect to an RealTimeQuery server in to ways.
Select IP/Port if you know for sure the IP and Port used by the RealTimeQuery server. This method is useful if the RealTimeQuery server is in your same local area network or in case the server is outside your local area network but it uses an Static IP address.

Select URL if the RealTimeQuery server you wish to connect is outside your local area network and it uses a Dynamic IP.

Step 4 : (This screen appears only when the option 'IP/Port' has been selected)

Server IP address
Enter the IP of the server you wish to connect.
