Adding Newsgroup Servers

Before using GroupsAloud, you must add one or more News Servers. To add a News Server, follow these steps:

Adding a News Server

• Click Edit -> Add Server from the menu or click the Add Server button on the toolbar.
• On the Add Server dialog, fill in the Server Name. If your server requires a user name and password, you must enter them on this dialog.
• Click OK to add the server.
  

After adding a server, a list of all available newsgroups on the server will be displayed in a separate window, allowing you to select one or more newsgroups you'd like to subscribe to. This window may take several minutes to load depending on the server, network connection speed and number of newsgroups.

If you are unsure of what server name to use, or have questions about your username and password, your ISP should be able to provide this information.
