  1. Open up ColorCache and select "Preview Screen" from the File menu
  2. On the preview screen, click on the "Import Wizard" toolbar button to launch the Preview Import Wizard.

    Import
  3. Skip the introductory page of the Wizard and follow the instructions below:

Step one - Choose an HTML file to import

Step two - Identify any associated Cascading Style Sheet and images

Step three - Provide a name and brief description for your new template

  4. Click on the "Finish" button. The colors used in the web page will be extracted and placed on a ColorCache palette. You can now switch to the "View" tab to see your new preview page. If the web page doesn't look quite as you expected you may need to tweak one or two settings - for more information see the troubleshooting guide.
  5. Once you've got your preview page looking just as you want it you can view it in an infinite variety of color schemes simply by adjusting the colors in the source palette. Just select all the colors then select "Adjust Colors..." from the Edit menu. Adjust the sliders and watch the preview page change colors before your eyes.
