To display the Options dialog select 'Options' from the Tools menu (ALT+T+O). The 'General' tab will be displayed by default.

Setting the Default Magnification Level for the Dropper Tool

The Dropper Tool has built in magnification. Magnification can be changed while the dropper is active by using the scroll wheel on your mouse. You can set the default magnification level here. Move the slider to the right to increase magnification, to the left to decrease magnification.

Toggling between websafe and unmodified colors

To reduce the risk of dithering on computers with limited color capability, ColorCache can translate all colors to their nearest 'Web-Safe' equivalent. Use the option buttons to toggle between unmodified and websafe colors.

Setting Background Color for Palettes

By default, palette backgrounds will be white, or will use the appropriate color for your theme if you are running Wndows XP. You can override this and specify a background color. simply select 'Custom' then click on the 'Change' button to choose a color. To revert to the standard behavior select 'Standard'.

Toggling Smart Borders on and Off

When smart borders are toggled on a border will appear around any palette colors that are similar to the background color. To remove the borders simply uncheck the box.
