Saving & Exporting Files

Saving Files
If you have made changes to a MIDI or Karaoke file, such as changing the tempo, key, or instrumentation, you may save your changes to disk. To do so, just select Save or Save As from the File menu.

Export To...

Location: File Menu

Use File->Export to to save the Midi or Kar file as a Wave or MP3 format file with a new name and/or in a new location.

After you select Save As, Karaoke Sing-n-Burn will Open a Save as dialog box which prompts you for a file name, a file type in which to save it, and a location in which to save it.

The default File Type selected in the Save as dialog box is Wave.

Export to Wave:
It allows you to Save a Midi/Kar format file to Wave format. This actually means that you can convert the data of the Midi-format file to an Wave-format file and save the converted file.

Exercising this option presents you with the "Save As Wave" dialog box, which prompts you to select the File name for the Wave file. After doing this, your Midi/Kar-format file will be saved as a Wave file.

Export to MP3:
For saving a file in MP3, click File->Export to, then select MP3. Specify the name of the file and choose the location to save the MP3 file.

This allows you to save a Midi/Kar-format file in MP3 format. This means that you can convert the data of the Midi/Kar-format file to an MP3-format file and save the converted file.

Exercising this option presents you with the MP3 Conversion dialog box, which prompts you to select the Codec and encoding bitrate. For best results, use the default setting.

Note that the higher the compression bitrate, the better the quality of the MP3 audio, but this also results in a larger file.

In order to save audio to the MP3 format, you will need a supported MP3 codec to be installed on your computer.
