CD-ROM Project Licensing

If you have ordered a Discstarter license you have to enter the license data and the key here. The license data has been emailed to you during the order process. Entering the license data is required in order to prevent the message that is informing about an unlicensed demo version from popping up every time you start your CD-ROM menu. If you are evaluating the demo version, you do not have to enter anything in this section. But please keep in mind that this also means that you are not allowed to distribute any CD-ROMs containing the Discstarter Runtime System ("autostart.exe").

Additionally you can save your license data for all projects that you create in the Discstarter Designer. We recommend to select this option because only the "Licensee" and the "GUID" are being saved in your "autorun.inf" file. Otherwise you will have to enter the "Key" manually every time you want to apply any changes to your "autorun.inf" file or to the HTML files of your menu.

More about how the license data actually works can be found in the chapter "Legal Licensing".
