Saving DVD To Folder

If your DVD burner isn't compatible, you can burn the disc to a folder instead. Then, using the software utility, compatible with the DVD burner, you can subsequently burn the final DVD.

Other reasons of burning to a folder:

  1. You want to burn a DVD later
  2. You are writing data from a network drive that doesn't have sufficient speed to write directly
  3. You want another person to burn this DVD
  4. Preserve a master copy of your master DVD

To save a disc to a folder:

  1. Set up your DVD disc as you normally would
  2. Choose FIle > Burn/Save or Click the Burn/Save button. The Burning/Saving Wizard dialog will appear
  3. In the Burning/Saving Wizard dialog, select Save to a folder and browse to the location on your hard disk where the DVD is to be saved.
