CD Anywhere Network Edition Client
A separate copy of CD Anywhere Network edition is installed on each client workstation. This is used to access the host's CD images. Each client can have a unique set of virtual CD images.
Adding a CD Image
Use this section when you know the specific path to the host computer, for the images you wish to add. If this path is not known, a separate section follows this will explain how to find the paths to your images.
With CD Anywhere Network Edition installed on the client, click on the main toolbar for CD Anywhere. From the CD Wizard, select CD Anywhere Manager. Then select ISO Image from the plane, then Mount CD image.
The file open dialog appears. Click on the pulldown arrow to the right of the Look in window.
Select Network Neighborhood. If there is no network neighborhood, the client workstation is not properly connected to a working local area network, and this problem must be corrected before continuing.
In the Network Neighborhood, double click on the name of the host computer that has the image files. Then click on the drive and directory, and finally the specific image you wish to have available on the client workstation. With the image file selected, click on Open. As an alternative, you could also type the complete path and filename in the Filename edit box, and then click on Open.
Now you can load a specific image into a virtual CD drive by mounting the image as a virtual CD drive. You can also create additional drives and load more images as desired, or let the client user load images as needed.
Windows Explorer and other Windows applications can now access the images you have loaded, as if they physically exist on the users system.
