Entering Client Information

TrakLoan lets you print mailing labels for a mailing to the holders of your loans. In order to make TrakLoan capable of doing this you must enter a name and address block for each account. You can also enter a telephone number, fax number, e-mail address and general comments. The telephone number and other information is for your use. TrakLoan doesn’t use it for any other purpose.

If you intend to use TrakLoan to print IRS forms 1098 you need to enter the client information that will be printed on the forms.

To enter client information:

  1. Select the account by clicking it in the Existing Loans box.
  2. Click the View Client Information tool View Client Information on the toolbar or use the View | Client Information menu sequence to bring up the Client Information screen (Figure 18).
  3. Enter the client’s name and address in the 1098 Information boxes. The name and address will be echoed in the Mailing Label Address box. Be sure the ad- dress in the Mailing Label Address box is what you want to have appear on a mailing label. If not, make changes directly in the Mailing Label Address Box. Enter the phone number and other information if you wish.
  4. Click [OK].
