Modify Object Appearance & Properties

Location, Size and Angle

Click the object which you want to operate, and when the object being selected, seven square handles and one round handle will show around its corner. (See the left picture below)

Move, Resize, RotateSize

The easiest way to change the location, size and angle of object is to use your mouse.

  • Move: Put the mouse pointer over the selected object, and then a move cursor will show on the object, (see the blue cursor in the left demonstration picture above), click and hold down the left mouse button, hold down the left mouse button as you drag the object to the desired new location. (A dashed outline of the object will move along with the cursor) When the outline of the object is in the desired new location, release the mouse button, and the selected object will be moved to the new location. You can also move multiple objects into rows or columns by clicking the align buttons on Align panel(see the picture below). This is done by setting the horizontal and vertical alignment values for a group of selected objects to the same value by Barcode Label Workshop automatically.
  • Resize: Move your mouse over one of the square handles (see the green squares in the left demonstration picture above ), click and hold down the left mouse button. Continue to hold down the left mouse button as you drag the object to the desired size. (A dashed outline of the object will move along with the cursor when you drag the mouse.) When the outline of the object is in the desired new location, release the mouse button, the object will be changed to the new size.
  • Rotate: Position your mouse pointer over the round handles on the left of the select object, you will find your mouse cursor change into a rotation cursor. (see the red round on the left demonstration picture above), click and hold down the left mouse button. Hold down the left mouse button as you rotate the object to the desired new angle. (A dashed outline of the object will rotate along with the cursor when you drag the mouse.) When the outline of the object is in the desired angle, release the mouse button, the object will be rotate to the new angle.
  • Arrange: Change the layer position of selected object, bring object to front, top or send object to back or bottom.

You can also specify object location, size and angle by entering a value into the X, Y, Width, Height and Angle option on Size Panel in the right of main window.

Note: CR option is the special property of rectangle object, means Corner Radius. It is the ratio of the short side of the rectangle object, can be set to 0.0 - 1.0

Changing the Color of an Object

After selected the object that you want to operate, its color property will be showed on Color panel. there are two color properties of an object, fore color and back color. (see the below demonstration pictures). You need click the color preview box in Color panel to choose what color will be selected before you adjust it.

Adjust the color by below options:

  • Color: Move the mouse pointer over the color palette on color panel. Click the mouse if the color under your current mouse pointer is the desired new color, the selected color will be showed at color preview box.
  • Transparence: Drag the handle on transparence bar by mouse, hold down the left mouse button as you drag the handel to the desired position. When the transparence of the color is in the desired value, release the mouse button, the changed color will be showed at the color preview box.
  • Brightness:Drag the handle on brightness bar by mouse, hold down the left mouse button as you drag the handel to the desired position. When the brightness of the color is in the desired value, release the mouse button, the changed color will be showed at the color preview box.

Note: Barcode and picture object will ignore the color property.

Changing the outline and fill style of an Object

Select the object that you want to operate, and then change the options value in the Style panel.

Style

These styles are available of all objects except Barcode and Picture object.

  • Border width : It is used to specify the width of the lines of objects, the value is in your defined default unit.
  • Border style : There are four kinds of border style can be chosen, please see the right picture.
  • Fill style:There are 53 kinds of fill style can be choose, please see the right picture.
 

Fill Style

These two options are special for Polygon object.

  • Segments: Specify the side segments for a polygon object, the minimal value is 3.
  • Ratio : Specify the ratio of odd points radius to even points radius in a polygon object, see the effect in left example picture.
