Restore & Extraction Options
Restore Options
You can edit default Restore Options using the Tools > Default Options menu, and select the Restore Options page.
Overwrite options - when TurboBackup restores files into an existing folder that already contains files, one of the following conditions can apply if a file with the same name already exists.
Overwrite all - new files will replace existing files
Do not overwrite - will not overwrite an existing file under and circumstances.
Overwrite older files - does a date check and only overwrites if the file is older than the new one. This is done strictly by date; internal version information (if any) is not considered.
Automatically skip files when errors occur - corrupted files (those with bad crc, an internal file checking mechanism) or those of unknown compression formats will be skipped. If a file is skipped, you will receive a notification message.
Extraction Options
You can edit default Extraction Options using the Tools > Default Options menu, and select the Extraction Options page.
Overwrite options - when TurboBackup extracts files into an existing folder that already contains files, one of the following conditions can apply if a file with the same name already exists.

Prompt - gives you the opportunity to decide on each file before it overwrites an existing file.
Automatically rename - (see Automatic rename mask, below)
Automatic rename mask
Enter %f for File Name, %n for copy number
If you choose to automatically rename files instead of overwriting them (see Overwrite Options, above), you can tell TurboBackup what method to use to rename it. With sample.txt as an example, the default entry of %f (%n) would rename a replacement sample.txt file as sample (1).txt
Extraction options - choose any of the following options to apply when TurboBackup is extracting files.
Restore path names - if path (folder information) is stored within the archive, TurboBackup will restore it during extraction.
Automatically skip files when errors occur - corrupted files (those with bad crc, an internal file checking mechanism) or those of unknown compression formats will be skipped. If a file is skipped, you will receive a notification message.
