Program & Preview Options
Program Options
You can use the Tools > Program Options menu, Setup tab to locate and change where backup and information files are stored and Temp folder location (used in compression). You can also choose preference options.
Folders
Script folder - Enter or use the Browse button to select a folder for storing task scripts.
My backup folder - Enter or use the Browse button to select a folder as the default location for storing Backup files. Your backup will be stored at this location unless you specify it differently in the individual backup script.
Temporary folder - Enter or use the Browse button to select a folder to designate as the TurboBackup temporary folder. This folder is used to store temporaty files during compression operation. The amount of free disk space required depends on the size of your backup. It is recommended that this folder be located on a drive that has at least comparable free drive space as the backup you are compressing.
Log folder - Enter or use the Browse button to select a folder to designate as the TurboBackup log folder.
Catalog folder - Enter or use the Browse button to select a folder for storing catalogs.
Use UNC for network path - When checked, the TurboBackup converts the file path in task and catalog to the UNC path.
Stay in tray - When checked, TurboBackup will be launched when Windows is started so it is available immediately during your session.
Display full path of catalog - The full path shown in the left pane can be suppressed when this option is deselected and only the file name is displayed.
No splash screen - When checked, the TurboBackup splash screen (logo image) will be bypassed and not displayed when the program is launched.
Preview Options
Fit image in window - when checked, image files are reduced or enlarged, proportionately, to fit the current size of the Preview Window.
Word wrap- if the current horizontal size of the Preview Window is not wide enough to display a complete line of text, the offending lines are wrapped so they may be read.
Do not preview files whose sizes are over - check off this box, specify a file size and value; this option is useful to avoid any potential delay when loading large files for preview. The TurboBackup preview is extremely efficient and quick, and trial uses with large files may be advised before using the option and specifying a value appropriate for your machine, if the restriction is desired.
Do not preview files of type(s). Enter each file name or type, separated by semicolons ";".
Control-Shift-M is the keyboard shortcut to toggle the Preview Pane to the full size of the TurboBackup window.
