Find Data
Scope
File Type - enter a file mask, such as *.txt or *.doc, for example, to restrict your search to a particular type of file. The default *.* includes all files.
Find files in
Selected file (default) - the search is restricted to the file that is currently highlighted. This option will not be available if a file was not highlighted before clicking on the menu entry.
Current Task - the task that is highlighted, or that the highlighted file is part of, is included in the search.
All Tasks - the entire collection of tasks is searched when this option is selected.
Where to check
Check Catalogs - the catalogs of the selected tasks or files are part of, is included in the search.
Check Backup Sets - the Backup Sets of the selected task are searched when this option is selected.
Date
All dates (default) - no files are excluded by date.
File files created or modified between… and - enter or use the buttons to select a beginning and ending date, and exclude any files created or modified before or after those dates.
Attributes
All attributes (default) - all files are included.
Find files with the selected attributes - check off attributes that you want to include in your search.
Size
All sizes (default) - include all files of all sizes.
Find file size in the range - key in a file size and select from bytes, KB, MB, or GB, to further define the size. Then select from Below (equal to and less than), Above (equal to and greater than), or an exact match.
Content
Containing text - enter a text string, or recall a recently used text string from the down arrow button. If you specify to search the catalogs, TurboBackup is search the comment part of the catalog.
Match whole word - select to ignore partial matches, such as when your selection could be a part of another word, such as selecting 'multiple' when 'tip' is your search criteria.
Case sensitive - check off to select text only if the upper and lower case patterns match your input.
Exact match - results are returned based on a precise match to your input.
Best match - TurboBackup will use "fuzzy search" criteria to return findings that are close, but not exactly matching your input. This is a useful option when the exact text string is not known.
