Backup Options

Backup Reminder

You can setup backup reminder to remind the user if no backup has been performed over the set number of days. When selected, TurboBackup will display an on screen reminder. You can use the Tools > Default Options menu, Backup/Advanced Options page, or through the Options button on the last wizard page of the selected individual task, to select the Reminder option. (Select a task and click the Wizard icon on the main toolbar to access the wizard.) Check off the Notify if no backup option box and enter the number of days.

Add Backup Task to Tray Icon Menu

You can select a backup task and add it to the TurboBackup tray icon right click menu for quick access to perform backup. You can use the Tools > Default Options menu, Backup/Advanced Options page, or through the Options button on the last wizard page of the selected individual task, to select the Tray Icon option. (Select a task and click the Wizard icon on the main toolbar to access the wizard.) Check off the Show this task in Tray Icon menu option box will display the selected task in the TurboBackup tray icon right click menu.

Backup and Shutdown Your Computer

TurboBackup lets you perform backup and automatically shutdown your computer after it is finsished. You can use the Backup > Backup and Shutdown menu or the TurboBackup tray icon right click menu (if setup) to back up and shutdown your computer.

Backup only if Logged on

On Windows NT/2000/XP/2003/Vista platforms, TurboBackup lets you perform backups without having to log on. This is useful when you want to perform unattended backup or scheduled backup. Simply schedule your backup tasks and they will run as scheduled without your having to on. You can disable this feature by checking off the Run only if logged on option on the Backup Schedule wizard page.
