Q. Can I backup locked or open files?
A. Yes, Systweak Right Backup can backup and restore any locked or open file.
Q. Why not just use Microsoft Backup?
A. Microsoft Backup only runs on a few versions of Windows, and they cannot be configured to work with a CD-R or CD-RW drive. If you want to archive your data to separate media but for that you must purchase additional disk or tape backup equipment. You must also manage your local storage space efficiently and securely store the backup media. Then, to restore, you need to reverse the process.
Systweak Right Backup runs on all versions of Microsoft Windows. Backups are automated, encrypted, archived. No fumbling with external storage media or fighting with local hard drive management. When you need your data restored, in just a few mouse clicks, the desired file version is easily identified and restored.
Q. Can I use Systweak Right Backup for disaster recovery and backup my entire system?
A. Systweak Right Backup is not a disaster recovery software. There are users, who like to take complete backup of their system to restore it in case of system crash. Systweak Right Backup cannot perform restoration of backup from DOS prompt as it requires basic Windows installation. Systweak Right Backup helps you to protect the data on your system and not the installed programs and system files.
Systweak Right Backup provides you three versions for taking backup of your files and folders:
Right Backup Lite
It helps you in backing up Outlook Express, My Pictures, My Documents, files, folders, Windows registry etc and restoring them in case of system failure. Thus, you can always revert to last working configuration and minimize the chances of bad software installations and virus attacks.
Right Backup Standard
It is an easy-to-use backup and restoration software, which allows you to take a backup and restore your data with minimum efforts. Backup your essential information like Outlook and Outlook Express, My Pictures, My Documents, files, folders, Windows registry etc and be assured of your operations. It can also encrypt and password protect the backed up data. It can send the backup file to an Email address or FTP Server.
Right Backup Professional
It comes with a user friendly backup and restore wizard, which lets you to take backup of all the e-mails stored in your email client (Outlook Express, Eudora, Incredi Mail etc), files, folders, address book, favorites, Windows registry and much more. It can backup directly to an Email address or FTP Server. It makes ISO image file of the source for writing to CD. You can even restore it on any other system. Automatic scheduled task lets you do virtually all the backup and restore work, once it is configured. It can pick up backup from network also.
Q. I don't want to restore the contents of a backup archive but want to view it. Can I do it?
A. Yes, you just need to select the job that you want to view and click 'Restore' button. The program will display the contents of the backup archive.
Q. What is incremental backup?
A. This simply means that only the files that have been changed since your last backup will be updated in your backup archive and any new found files will also be included.
Q. What types of operating systems are supported?

Q. Will the schedule start if Systweak Right Backup is not running?
A. Yes. The schedule will run. Systweak Right Backup need not be running at that time.
Q. When the backup occurs, will it affect system performance?
A. Although during the backup process, the CPU is used to backup and compress your data, user can still carry out their normal usage of the computer.
Q. Can I password protect my backup?
A. Yes, Systweak Right Backup helps you to protect your backup with password. You just need to select Encrypted Zip Archive option in backup type and specify a password. No on else can restore that backup without entering the password specified by you.
Q. What kind of compression does it use?
A. Systweak Right Backup uses the common ZIP format and all backups created in this format can be read by popular programs such as PKZip, WinZip, and others.
