Context Menus

There are three types of context menus in Handy Backup Pro - one for each pane of the main program window.

Items View Context Menu

This context menu contains a number of options to work with your items.

Items View Context Menu

New Item..: Select to create a new item.

Duplicate: Use to create an identical copy or several copies of a given item. Such copies will appear in Items View, their names will contain words and symbols "Copy #.. of...". For example, for item named "My documents" you can create "Copy #1 of My documents", "Copy #2 of My documents", etc.

Backup: You can perform backup of a selected item.

Restore: You can perform restore of a selected item.

Synchronize: You can perform synchronization of a selected item.

Menu will display the number of icons corresponding to the number of possible operations - e.g., if you created only Backup items, you can backup and restore data, so menu will display backup and restore icons. If no items were created, no operation icons will be displayed.

If you try to restore a file from a backup copy and it appears that it is older than original one, you will receive the following warning message.

Click either "Yes" to restore the file from its old backup copy, or "No" to skip this file, or "Stop operation" to stop the restoring operation. If you mark "Apply to all" checkbox, then selected action will be applied to all files/folders in this item.

Refresh: Use to see the current state of your items and files/folders. Changes made to your items or files/folders will be displayed in the corresponding program views.

Execute: Initiates operations with your item (backup, restore or synchronization).

Stop: Stops current operation with item (backup, restore or synchronization).

Delete: Deletes a selected item.

Properties..: Allows viewing or changing properties of a selected item.

Files View Context Menu

This context menu enables you to operate with files/folders included in your item.

Files View Context Menu

Include Files: Enables to include files previously excluded from the given item.

Exclude Files: Enables to exclude files previously included in the given item.

Backup/Restore/Synchronize: You can perform required operations (backup, restore, synchronization) with selected files through Files View context menu. In the Items View, locate with mouse pointer an item with required files, and then in the Files View locate these files and right-click on them with the mouse. On the Files View context menu select required operation.

Restore to..: Enables to restore selected file/folder to a location different from the source location. In the displayed "Browse For Folder" dialog select the necessary location.

Note: If you have restored a file/folder to another location, its status will not be changed.

Settings..: Enables to customize font colors denoting different statuses of files.

Log View Context Menu

This context menu enables you to manage log messages and customize their colors.

Log View Context Menu

Copy: Enables to copy the contents of a log window.

Save Log..: Enables to save a log entry to a selected destination.

Clear Log: Use to remove all log messages from the Log View.

Colors..: Enables to customize font colors for different log messages.
