Advanced Backup Settings
At this step you set a number of advanced backup settings.

Specify backup type: full or incremental backup.
- Full backup: The program will backup all files on every backup operation.
- Incremental backup: The program will backup only the files that have been changed since the last backup operation.
Note that if you have created a new item and specified the Incremental backup option for it, then the first time you backup this item, the program will perform the full backup. The next times the program will perform incremental backups.
Note that in case of backup onto CDs the program performs only full backup, so both options will be grayed out.
Delete all files from destination except being backed up (not applicable to single ZIP mode): Enables to delete all files from the destination folder except the files specified in the backup set.
Note: Please be careful with this option! Before checking it, make sure that your destination folder does not contain files you do not want to delete! For example, if you choose disk C:\ as your destination location, you may accidentally lose ALL data on this disk.
Store backups with timestamps: Check this option if you want the program to store every backup set in a separate folder, according to date/time of backup operation. On every backup the program will create a new subfolder in the destination folder marking it with a timestamp. To adjust timestamp format settings, press the "Timestamp format settings..." button.
Timestamp format settings

- Timestamp accuracy up to: Select timestamp accuracy which can be within a month, a day, an hour or a minute.
- Timestamp format: Set timestamp format.
- Keep all versions (do not delete old backups): Select if you want to keep all backups.
- Keep only last...versions: Choose the number of the latest backups to keep.
- Keep old versions for a period of..: Set time period for keeping your backups.
File-specific settings

- Skip read-only files: The program will ignore read only files and folders.
- Skip hidden files: The program will ignore hidden files.
- Skip system files: The program will ignore system files.
- Open files exclusively: This option allows Handy Backup Pro to open files in such way that another programs will not be able to open them when the backup operation is being performed. Files already opened by another programs will not be processed even if they are accessible for reading.
