Support FAQ
1. What is FLV?
FLV is the preferred file format for delivering video clips via Flash. It is a specialized file format that has been supported from version 7. FLV files cannot be played back directly but must be embedded in (or linked from) an SWF file. You create (or download) a "container" SWF file from which to play the FLV file. The most common approach is to use an SWF file that functions as a media player with screen and playback controls. Notable users of the FLV format include Google Video and YouTube. Flash Video is viewable on most operating systems.
2. Which format shoul I choose if I want to convert to a DVD file?
You can select MPEG as export type and select an option like PAL DVD (4:3) or NTSC DVD (4:3) in sub-type except MPEG1 or MPEG2.
3. How can I get rid of the blue watermark?
The watermark of our company is the only limit for the trial version. The trial version is fully functioned as the retail version. Please purchase the software if you find the program useful.
4. How do I know if the current version is the latest version?
Click and select "About" to see the version No. of the current program.
When it is the first time you launch the program, the update function is activated to see if there is an update version. Then the update function will detect update information weekly, i.e. the update will work automatically if the current time you run the program is seven days after your first launch. You can also click and then select "Update" to detect the update version.
5. How to insert the output files to PowerPoint?
- Open a new PowerPoint file, and select "Insert" and then click "Object".
- You are facing a pop-up window with the type of the object. Choose "Windows Media Player", and then there will be a widget in the form of Windows Media Player.
- Right-click the widget, and choose to show the properties, then you will find the "URL" option.
- Fill the blank beside the "URL" with a valid path. You can set not to show control bar by setting the "uiMode" as "none", if you don’t need the control bar.
- Click "Slide Show" in the menu bar, and then click "View Show". You can also click the F5 on keyboard to view the effect, when the video is selected.
6. I want to convert to 3GP files, but the quality of the output is not as good as I expected?
Please select the profile for "3GPP Video", select "acc" in the audio codec box, and select a higher video bit rate, e.g. "400". Then the quality of the output file would be better than the default profile and you may notice the file size is much larger.
7. When I play the generated file, there are black borders on the screen. Can the image be resized, so that it would stretch to the edges?
Please choose "?">Settings and you may face a diagbox with option about the video. Please make sure "Stretch" is selected and the image would be stretched.
If you have other questions, please contact our support or send an email to support@flvsoft.com with your order ID (if you have purchased our software), program version, the OS on your site, description and a screenshot about the situation you encountered or a screenshot for the settings or profile settings for conversion if necessary.
