FAQ

1. How do I convert the video to DivX (MPEG)?

DivX is a codec of AVI file, you can select "All Movie to AVI" to begin converting. First please insure you have installed the codec. Then in the "Select AVI codec" dialog, the default codec should be "divx" if you have installed the codec, just press "Done" to add the task to the list.

2. Why there are words "This watermark will be removed after register"? on the top of the video?

This just becuase you are using a trial version, to remove message, you need purchase a license code for the software, for further information, please click here to know more.

3. Which codec is better when we dealing with AVI file?

Of course we recommendate DivX, not only its fast speed but also the quality.

4. When I convert some AVI to WMV/ASF, the audio is missed? How can I avoid this happening?

Before version 5.0, we only support PCM audio stream when converting AVI to WMV/ASF. If the audio in AVI are encoded in other format, we may miss the audio (The video will be OK). But there is workaround, you can convert the AVI to DivX by using Easy Video Converter, then you can convert it to WMV/ASF without problem. You should not have such problem with v5 and later.

5. Why there is a message box tell me to restart the software after I put the reg code?

Our software needs to restart to validate the registration information, If you start the software without popup the reg dialog, you got registered.

6. Why only audio was converted, the video seems black after converting?

Before version 5.5, the product depends on corresponding ACM compatible video codec installed on your system to decoding video. although the video may be playable on your system, you can't got the video in converting result since the video is only playable with DirectX. You must find and install a corresponding codec first. You can find the codec name in the "Video Source" dialog. Version 5.5 depends on DirectShow Video codec to decoding video, we strongly recommendate you install ffdshow codec first.

7. Why only video was converted, the mp3 encoded audio is missing after converting?

That may happen with some Xvid encoded AVI file on special machine. To resolve this we suggest you install another MP3 encoder/decoder to have a try, you can also download it from our website. Just Click Here!

8. Why I can get 44100Hz mp3 audio in AVI file on some machine and failed on some other system?

The default mp3 codec install with Windows(TM) can only support 22050Hz as the highest sample rate, you can try the codec we talked about in question #7

9. Why "All to AVI" conversion failed with version v5.0~v6.0 after I installed DivX v6.0?

DivX v6.0 and later register their Directshow decoder codec in the "Video Compressor"(which contains the encoder codec installed in the system), misleading the program using the wrong codec by default. Easy Video Converter v6.0.2 has a workaround of this problem automatically, for those who using v6.0.1 or earlier version needs to select right codec listed in the video codec combobox(DivX? 6.x.x Codec should be used and DivX? 6.x.x YV12 Decoder is the wrong one), version 7.0 or later using internal encoding engine;
