Web Monitoring Mode
In the Web-monitoring mode you can monitor databases, backup copies and archives of Atropos-SB installed on the another computer, connected via any IP-connection (e.g. direct modem connection, LAN, Internet). So you can monitor remote Atropos-SB situated at a distance of thousands kilometres!
In this mode it is possible to playing of records in all databases, but it is impossible to delete records and to edit comments. The program that monitors remote databases is named "Web-monitor". The monitored program is named "Remote Atropos-SB".
During the demonstration period (30 days) the application can be started in any mode. Subsequently, to run the application as Web-monitor, registration key by "Web-monitor" license is necessary. This registration key also allows you to use one 1-channel Atropos-SB in web-monitoring mode.
1. Web-monitor operation
To start the program as Web-monitor:
a) click "Atropos-Web-monitor" item in the menu Start > Programs > Atropos-SB;
b) click "Atropos-Web-monitor" shortcut on the desktop;
c) start Atropos-SB from command line with key -WEB_MON, i.e.: Atrop_sb.exe -WEB_MON
If Atropos-SB is started as Web-monitor then an additional panel in the database window is appeared.
The list "Alias of Remote Atropos-SB" contains names (aliases) of remote Atropos-SB's. The list is used for fast switching between remote databases.
In the "Address" field address of a remote Atropos-SB is shown. User can not change the address directly in the field.
Press the "Edit remote Atropos-SB" button to change the address, port and password for access to remote Atropos-SB. The window will appear (see on the right) in which it is possible to change the adjustments.
By pressing the "Add remote Atropos-SB in the list" button the window (see on the right) will appear also. You will be able to set there a alias of the remote Atropos-SB and a address, port and password to assess to its database. When "Delete remote Atropos-SB from the list" button is pressed the selected Atropos-SB removes from the list.
At addition of a new Atropos-SB in the list, the Web-monitor automatically connects with remote Atropos-SB and requests its database of records. To download or to update the database, also it is possible to press "To update the button the Database" button. The database will be downloaded on the local computer and will be displaied on the screen. It is possible to work with the database as with usual DB of records (to convert, listen and archive the records).
Downloading from the remote computer can to take time a lot (it's depended on connection type and speed).
To time economy caching is exist: files, downloaded from the remote computer once, are stored in a special directory and then can be listened and converted immediately. To adjust cache parameters use "Web-monitoring" page of the "Setting" window.
Cache is cleared automatically through time specified in the "Days to keep files in cache" field. Such cache clearing occurs at the Web-monitor starting.
Press "Clear cache" button to remove all files from the cache immediately.
2. Remote Atropos-SB in web-monitoring mode
Use page "Net" of Atropos-SB Options window to adjust network options.
Check "Permit" to permit Web-monitoring of the Atropos-SB.
The "Password" field contains the password on access to databases from the external Web-monitors.
Use "Port" field to set port number on which Atropos-SB works. The default port is 9765.
ATTENTION! The port number on Web-monitor and remote Atropos-SB must be identical.
3. Web-report mode
Unlike monitoring mode, in Web-report mode Atropos-SB sends all records from the daily base to the Web-monitor itself. Adjustments of this mode are on the "Net" page of the "Setting" window, in the "Web-report" section.
Input a name of a subdirectory where records will be sent in the field "Identifier" (see below "Folder for Web-reports saving").
Input the IP-address of the Web-monitor in "Address" field.
Input the port of the Web-monitor in "Port" field (port 9766 is used by default). ATTENTION! The port number on Web-monitor and remote Atropos-SB must be identical.
The application can automatically send all records from the database for PREVIOUS day on the Web-monitor. Check "On" switcher and set time in "Do Auto report at[h:m:s]" field (it has sense to set time for some minutes after midnight).
You can press the "Send report" button to send on the Web-monitor all records from the database for CURRENT day immediately.
Web-monitor has adjustments of the Web-report mode on page "Web-monitoring" of the "Setting" window in the "Web-report" section.
Input a name of a directory where reports will be kept in the "Folder for Web-reports saving" field.
In this directory will be created subdirectories for every remote Atropos-SB with a name of its identifier.
Input number of port where the Web-monitor works in the "Port" field. The port 9766 is used by default.
ATTENTION! The port number on Web-monitor and remote Atropos-SB must be identical.
