Scheduler/Storage
Scheduler
This page serves for adjusting the parameters of recording scheduler.
- "Channel" - a channel for adjusting.
- “Scheduler On:” switcher serves for turning on/off the scheduler for current channel. When the scheduler is turned on recorrding control buttons on Control panel are disabled.
- “Recording schedule” list: you can define a recording schedule independently for each channel and day of the week.
- “No Recording at special dates” list is independent for each channel schedule for stop recording at special dates (holidays). Attention! This schedule has the first priority to control recording.
- “For all channels” button serves to copy the settings of current channel for all.
Storage
This page serves for adjusting the parameters of system of compression and information archiving.
- "Channel" - set a channel for adjusting.
- "Estimated common duration" - total lengths of records in the recirculating buffer. When the time expires, old sound information will be lost. Value of the period will appear after execution of "Tuning the packing parameters" procedure only.
- "Buffer" - filename of buffer. You can edit the filename manually, or press "Select Buffer" button and select buffer on the disk. (Attention! Previous information will be lost).
- "Size" - size of buffer (MB). That shows how much information you will be able to keep in the database (>>). (Attention! Previous information will be lost).
- "Reserve" – reserve place for the buffer on the disk. (Attention! Previous information will be lost). We recommend strongly to reserve a place for the buffer.
- "Delete" – erase current buffer from the disk. (Attention! Previous information will be lost).
- "Packing parameters / Method" - packing method (>>).
- "Packing parameters / CyTeG SMP Q" - (only for CyTeG SMP) parameter, that characterizes quality of sound after its compression and decompression. "Q" can change from 1 to 100. If Q=100 sound is remained with the original quality, degree of compression is minimal. If Q=1 sound will be with the worst quality, degree of compression is maximal. As a rule, satisfactory quality of sound and degrees of compression is obtained by Q=30-70.
- "Packing parameters/Tune" - (only for CyTeG SMP) button, calling "Tuning the packing parameters". Use one for the best combinations Q and X fitting.
- "Beep on packing end" – beep/not beep on fragment compression finish.
- "Period of recording cache examination" – period (msec), after which recording cash examines: is next fragment recorded. If "yes", information will be pack automatically and will be add in database.
