LAN Monitoring Mode
In the remote monitoring mode you can monitor databases, backup copies and archives of Atropos-SB installed on the another computer, connected to a local network. In this mode it is possible to listen of records in all databases, but it is impossible to delete records and to edit comments. This mode named "client mode" also (the program which requests the data, names as "client", the program on the remote computer - "server").
To start the program in the remote monitoring mode:
- click "Atropos-LAN-monitor" item in the menu Start > Programs > Atropos-SB
- click "Atropos-LAN-monitor" shortcut on the desktop;
- start Atropos-SB from command line wiith a key -LAN_MON, i.e.: Atrop_sb.exe -LAN_MON
On one computer it is possible to start two Atropos-SB simultaneously, only if one of them is started in the remote monitoring mode.
The mode of the remote monitoring is accessible only at some types of the license:

During the demonstration period (30 days) the program can be started in the remote monitoring mode.
If Atropos-SB is started in remote monitoring mode then an additional panel in the database window is appeared.
The list "Alias of Remote Atropos-SB" contains names (aliases) of servers. The list is used for fast switching between servers.
In the "Path to remote Atropos-SB" field path to configuration file of a server is shown. User can not change the path directly in the field.
To change the path to the configuration file of a server press the "Edit remote Atropos-SB" button. The window (see on the right) in which it is possible to change the adjustment will appear.
By pressing the "Add remote Atropos-SB in the list" button the window (see on the right) will appear also. You will be able set there a alias of the server and a path to its configuration file . When "Delete remote Atropos-SB from the list" button is pressed the selected server removes from the list.
Attention!!! If you are going to use your Atropos-SB as a server, it is more convenient to place buffer record files (atr-files), archives and backup copies on the same disk, as a file of a configuration. Otherwise, it is possible that Atropos-SB will not be able find pathes to the files automatically. In this case Atropos-SB offers to specify pathes manually.
