Updating TV guide

To update the program information in the TV guide, simply copy a XMLtv compatible file to the XML subdirectory of the WebShifter installation folder. WebShifter will then import the file and delete it afterwards.

You can also let WebShifter collect new program information automatically on a daily basis, to keep the TV guide up-to-date.

Settings

WebShifter currently supports the following program data sources:

External programs that retrieve program information (XMLtv, TVxb)
Download XMLtv files from a website (compressed or uncompressed)
Copy XMLtv files from disk or network location
ShowShifter ShowGuide (v3.1 or higher)
Any access database (like the myTheatre EPG database)

Updating the TV guide - configuration

With the help of a configuration wizard, you can quickly setup WebShifter to automatically collect program information.

If you do not use ShowShifter or myTheatre, just select 'Country specific EPG data source' and then your country.
