View Parameters for Impulse Response Display

View Parameters for Impulse Response Display

These view parameters determine how the collected data are analyzed and displayed.

Time Range (T)

Time Range (T)

21 options are available. They are ± 100 µs, ± 200 µs, ± 500 µs, ± 1 ms, ± 2 ms, ± 5 ms, ± 10 ms, ± 20 ms, ± 50 ms, ± 100 ms, ± 200 ms, ± 500 ms, ± 1 s, ± 2 s, ± 5 s, ± 10 s, ± 20 s, ± 50 s, ± 100 s, ± 200 s, ± 500 s.

Impulse response is obtained by converting the frequency response (i.e. Gain and Phase) from frequency domain to time domain using inverse FFT. The time range is thus [FFT size]/[Sampling Frequency]. Initially, the software will selected a Time Range such that it is able to accommodate the range determined by the above formula. You can subsequently change the Time Range if necessary.
