Voice Comparator

AV VCS 5.5 Silver has a built-in Voice Comparator - now you can change your voice into the voices of famous movie and pop stars. You may also add your own sound files and change your voice into them. To display Voice Comparator, click the Comparator button on the Main panel.

The following table explains the functions of Voice Comparator controls.

Comparator Morpher pane

Volume Meter display Indicates the volume balance: Timbre Balance slider Adjusts the timbre of the recorded voice. To change the timbre you may use either the slider or the arrow keys.

Pitch Balance slider: Adjusts the pitch of the recorded voice. To change the pitch you may use either the slider or the arrow keys.

Advanced Tune slider: Adjusts the advanced tune of the recorded voice. To change the tune you may use either the slider or the arrow keys.

Volume Balance slider Adjusts the output volume

Microphone Balance slider: Adjusts the input volume.

Record button Starts recording the input voice. Try to imitate the voice of the selected person (tempo, intonation, pitch) as much as possible. The words linked with underline symbols do not have pauses between each other - when you will be recording your voice, do not make pauses between these words either.

Morphed Voice Play button: Starts/Stops playing the recorded voice.

Comparator Voice pane:

Celevoice Select box: Lets you select the voice of any celebrity from the list. After you select a celevoice, the phrase will automatically appear underneath.

Phrase indicator: Lets you see the phrase being spoken by the selected person.

Play button: Starts/Stops playing the voice of the chosen person.

Delete Voice button: Lets you delete the selected person's sound file. Add Voice button Lets you add new voice files to the Comparator module.

Comparator Similarity pane

Tone Similarity display: Indicates the tone similarity between your morphed voice and the voice of the selected person.


Timbre Similarity display: Indicates the timbre similarity between your morphed voice and the voice of the selected person.

Intonation Similarity display: Indicates the intonation similarity between your morphed voice and the voice of the selected person.

Total Similarity display: Indicates the total similarity between your morphed voice and the voice of the selected person.

Compare Voice button: Compares your morphed voice and the voice of the chosen person.

Auto Compare button: Selects best similarity between your morphed voice and the voice of the chosen person automatically.

Quick tour how to morph you voice in the AV VCS Voice Comparator module.

Turn the DUPLEX mode OFF by clicking the DUPLEX button on the Main Panel (if you work under Win2000 or win98 - turn off VCS as well). Open Voice Comparator. Select any person from the list. Click Play button to listen to his/her voice (the spoken phrase will be displayed in the Phrase indicator). Click the Record button and say to the microphone the exact phrase with the similar tempo, intonation and pauses between the words. When the recording is finished, click the Auto button to start morphing. After your voice is morphed, click the OK button at the top right corner of the Comparator panel and your morphed voice parameters will be transmitted to AV VCS 5.5 Silver Now you may turn the DUPLEX mode on and use in AV VCS 5.5 Silver new settings of your morphed voice.

Note: Try to imitate the voice of the selected person (tempo, intonation, pitch, pauses between the words, etc.) as much as possible.
