Podcast Information
After you select "File/Save As Podcast", “ePCEditor” will Open a dialog box asking to enter the "Podcast session Information"
In this dialog box you need to enter the "Podcast file" details and "Podcast feed" details.
In "Podcast file details" section, you need to enter the
- Title (Mandatory).
- Podcast description (Optional)
- Podcast link (For Ex. <your web address>/Banjo1.mp3)
- Publication date.
In "Podcast feed details" you need to enter:
The Name of the Podcast feed. you may choose to add this podcast to an existing feed or you may create a new series.
If you want to add to an existing feed, you need to specify the path to the existing podcast feed (.xml file) and all other information in this section will be as in the existing feed. Just save the information for this feed and your podcast is ready to upload.
A “.pdi” file is saved for your podcast and the existing file. If you want to create a new Podcast series,
you need to enter the new series name (The name by which you want to post the Podcast feed)
Title of the Podcast series. (Mandatory field)
Description (Optional field)
Link (This is Mandatory field)
After entering all the fields, click on the Save button, A “Save As” dialog box appears. The default file type selected in the “Save As” dialog box is ".pdi".
Just save the information for this feed and your podcast is ready to upload.
You will be prompted by a message "Do you want to upload your podcast now?"
Choose Yes to upload your podcast to an ftp location immediately.
Choose No to avoid the upload process.
Upload Podcast:
Once your Podcast is created and saved on your hard drive for uploading later. You can upload anytime to the FTP site. Just open the saved podcast and the Menu option “File/Upload” and your upload will begin.
Further notes:
Podcast is enabled.
Exercise this option to upload the opened podcast to the FTP location.
Use “Save As Podcast” to save the contents of the primary workspace (Wave or MP3 format file) as Podcast.
*Please note that “Save as Podcast” will not allow to save the opened Wave file as MP3 podcast, or vice Versa.
Whatever the opened file format, the podcast will be saved in that same format.
For saving a Wave file as a podcast you need to first convert the data of the Wave-format file to an MP3-format file and then this converted MP3 file can be “Saved as Podcast .” |
