Preferences

Location: File Menu

Selecting Preferences brings up a dialog box that will allow you to make changes to Overdub's configuration. The dialog box presents you with two tabbed pages.

The first page is captioned "General". This page allows you to set the folder to hold temporary files used by Overdub. The default is the Temp (temporary) folder maintained by Windows. The second thing on this page is a check box captioned: Always Show Test Levels. If you set this option (tick it), then the LED level-meter monitors the selected recording source, even if you are not in recording mode. If this option is cleared (unmarked), then the LED level-meter will not monitor the selected recording source unless you are in recording mode.

The second tabbed page is captioned "Devices". This page lets you select the Playback and Recording device that you want to use. This is useful in a multi-user setup, where a system may have multiple multimedia devices installed. This option is dependent on the devices (and their drivers) that you have installed in your computer system.
