Inner Ledgers

To access the “Inner Ledgers” tab panel just click on the “Ledgers” tool bar button or select it from under the “Setup” menu. This tab panel enables you to select whether or not to include inner ledger notes and if so which ledger notes to include. To set how low treble clef notes will dip below the middle C line, select from the “Lowest Ledger” radio buttons. To set how high a bass clef note will cross over the middle C line select from the “Highest Ledger” radio buttons. This is a very important feature and should not be over looked. If you are going to include inner ledger notes you must be very care about which notes to include. If you are a beginner you might want to disable this feature. The above screen shot indicates that the B below middle C will appear in either the bass or treble clef. The note D above middle C will also appear in either the bass or treble clef. If “Include Inner Ledger Notes” was unchecked then B would only show up in the bass clef, and D would only show up in the treble clef.
