Control Bar & Midi Popup Controls

Control Bar

Control Bar

The “Control Bar” contains the most commonly used settings. Its default position is below the on screen piano. If your machines maximum screen resolution is 800 or less, it will default to the top.

Midi Status Indicator

The “Midi Status Indicator” displays the out going midi note volume. When you play your response the LED will display the level. The green midi light will show when you have established a good midi connection. It will show red if it is not.

Key Signature

Use the “Key Signature” popup menu to select the key that will be used to play the samples. If C is selected there will be no flats or sharps in the key sign. I suggest using the key of C for beginners. This popup will be disabled when the game is in play.

Time Signature

Use the “Time Signature” popup to select how many beats per measure. The choices are 2/4,3/4 and 4/4. This popup will be disabled when the game is in play

Tempo

Use the “Tempo” slider to adjust the game’s speed.

Quantisize

Use the “Quantisize” slider to set the threshold for rhythmic errors.

Midi Popup Controls

Midi Popup Controls

  • Click on the Midi disclosure triangle to hide or show the “Midi” popup menus.
  • Use the “Midi In” popup to select the midi in port. If no midi in ports are detected on your system, this menu will be disabled. To configure your midi input ports, select the “Apple Core Midi” menu item from under the “Setup” menu.
  • Use the “Midi Out” popup to select the midi output port. If no midi output ports are detected on your system, this menu will be disabled. To configure your midi input ports, select the “Apple Core Midi” menu item from under the “Setup” menu.
  • Use the “Patch” popup to select which instrument to play on channel one of your midi sound module.
