Working with Chords

Adding a chord

  • To add chords you must first select the Chord panel using the mouse or the Alt+C hotkey.
    Select the "Chord text addition"Add default chord button followed by the "Chord addition"Add Chord.
    The duration of each chord can be set using the "Duration" Duration button.
    To choose a chord, press the buttons on the main list of chords (A to G).
    The most common chords can be added from the list of chord templates on the right hand side (X, Xm, etc).
  • Select the Guitar panel using the mouse or the Alt+G hotkey.
    Select the type of guitar using the "Guitar kind" option.
    The chord fingering can be transferred to the guitar using the mouse.

Activate the Chord tools panel (using the mouse or the Alt+C hotkey).
Set the chord addition scheme using the "Chord addition"Add Chord -> "Chord text addition"Add default chord buttons.

  • Press the buttons on the main list of chords.
  • Press the button for the expanded list of chords.

Adding a guitar diagram

To add chords you must first select the Chord panel using the mouse or the Alt+C hotkey.
Select the "Define chord addition"Define chord addition -> "Chord addition"Chord addition -> "Diagram addition"Diagram addition.
If necessary, select the kind of guitar with the "Guitar kind" button and the place of addition diagram "Over/Under note lines" button
To choose a chord press the buttons on the main list of chords (A to G).
Some frames can be added from the list of frame templates on the right hand side or by pressing a button on the Chord panel and setting the diagram manually.

Saving chords

Select the entire chord on the staff.

  • Select main menu item "Templates" | "Chords" | "Save". Set the chord properties in the opened dialog. The chord will be added to the program's templates list.
  • Select main menu item "Templates" | "Chords" | "Save as". Set the chord properties in the opened dialog. The chord will be saved as a file.
  • Press the right mouse button on the chord on the staff and choose "Save chord" from the context menu.
  • Activate the Chord tools panel using the mouse or the Alt+C hotkey).
    Press the "Save" button. Set chord properties in the opened dialog. The chord will be added to the program's templates list.

Adding a chord to the templates list

  • Activate the Chord tools panel using the mouse or the Alt+C hotkey).
    Press the "All chords" button. Press the "Add" button in the opened dialog. Select the file containing the chord for addition.
  • Select main menu item "Templates" | "Chords" | "Add". Select the file containing the chord for addition.

Remove a chord from templates list

  • Activate the Chord tools tab (using the mouse or the Alt+C hotkey).
    Press the "All chords" button. Press the "Remove" button in the opened dialog. Remove the chord from the opened list. The chord will be removed from the program's templates list).
  • Select main menu item "Templates" | "Chords" | "Chord list". Remove the chord from the opened list. The chord will be removed from the program's templates list.
