Find Windows 9x
This attempts to find any Windows 9x computers in the browser list for the selected domain.
Install CS Monitor Service
This option allows you to install the CSMonitor service on a remote computer.
The service monitors a text file for host names to scan, this can be useful for automatically scanning laptops when they are logged onto the corporate network. For example the following command will append the computer name to the text file on \\server\share\assetdb.txt
'echo %computername% >>\\server\share\assetdb.txt'
License Management
The section can be used to help you organisations licence management process.
- 'Update Package List from Scan Details' scans the database for software packages and updates the the database.
- 'Add Unlisted Licence' adds a licence for a piece of software that is not yet in the database.
- 'N/A' sets the selected program not to show in the software reports.
- 'Unlimited' sets the licence quantity for the selected program to unlimited.
- Entering a number in the textbox sets the licence quantity to the number entered.
- Clicking 'Set' confirms the entry.
