Network Actions
You can apply the folowing actions on remote computers:
- Runs special tasks with selected host (You can adjust them by yourself. For example, start FTP-client or Web-browser, or start remote administration program).
- Browse by Explorer
- Ping
- Trace route
- Send message ("net send")
- Remote shutdown and power-up:
- Power-up (using Wake-on-LAN feature)
- Shutdown (or restart)
- Get system information:
- Common network information
- Shared network resources
- Connected users
- Local accounts
- Local groups
- Registry
- Services and devices
- Opened UDP and TCP ports
- Active tasks
- Event Log
- Installed software
- Get domain information
- Setup alerts and notificstions
Open
The Open operation is available only for objects of the Domain (workgroup) type. This operation returns the list of computers within selected domain (workgroup).
Browse in Explorer
Function Browse in Explorer allows viewing remote computer's shared resources (as when you use <Network Neighbourhood>). This function works only with hosts where NetBIOS service is running.
Ping
The Ping function is similar to Windows' ping command but is more convenient. You can specify the following settings:
- Data packet size
- Number of requests
- Response timeout
The ping results and error messages are displayed in the Results window (Fig. 1).

The indicator in the upper right corner informs whether the system is ready (green) or busy (red).
The ping process can be cancelled before its completion by clicking the button Stop.
Tracing routes
The Trace route function is similar to Windows' tracert command but is more convenient. You can specify the following settings:
- Number of hops
- Response timeout
The trace route results and error messages are displayed in the Results window (Fig. 1).
