Changing Device Properties
Host name or address
Computer's network name or address. The value of this field is the starting point for all network functions of the program. The field is case-insensitive.
Name on the map
As the program scans network, to all computers that it finds it assigns labels: the icon and some text - computer's network name. You can optionally change the name by selecting the item Rename on the context menu and then editing the name on the map (Fig. 1).

Type
To any map object, you can assign device type (server, domain, laptop, workstation, firewall, etc.) The device will be displayed with the icon corresponding with the selected type.
Comment
You can add your comment to the item on the list (up to 250 characters), which will appear on the tip for the object.
Do not check (Always on)
Such devices are not checked and they are always highlighted as being swithced on (use for hubs non-network printers and other passive equipment).
Ping host right after adding
You can force checking new host right after its adding instead of waiting next background pinging cycle.
Change host name (address) in alert settings
If you are changing device's host address, this setting affects on checks associated with this device. Old checking host address remains in check settings if the tick is off. Otherwise, checking address will change too.
